Our client, a semantic-web-based deep insight data science platform start-up, based in Galway, is seeking to bolster their Full Stack Engineering team.

Who we they looking for?

Their platform is composed by many elements, using different technologies from the frontend in Angular/React and Node.js to middleware using Java and Gremlin technologies. In the back-end, our client utilises ElasticSearch using specialized plugins developed by our clients and third-party components for machine learning, natural language processing and more.

They are looking for a very passionate developer to help drive incremental improvements in their established platform.

In this role you will

  • Have a voice in the design and development of the APIs, product features and add-on components

  • Collaborate and coordinate with members of the development team, creating high quality implementations, and review of the work of others.

  • Work as part of an agile team and also working directly with the existing Full Stack Engineering team and Software Development Manager.

We expect

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent proven real world experience.

  • Between 1 and 4 years of experience in full stack application development.

  • Experience with both enterprise platform and network security highly desirable.

  • Experience with Javascript, AngularJS, Node.js, Java, and other languages.

  • Hands-on experience with Git, build automation tools and Java/JavaScript testing frameworks.

  • Excellence in Agile development practices, continuous integration and deployment.

  • Competences in widely used databases, including SQL and No-SQL platforms.

  • Prior Elasticsearch experience would be a big plus.
