The Opportunity

Our client is a global leader in colour printing technologies that provide remarkable productivity, profitability, and innovation.

An exciting opportunity is available for a software engineer to join a new software team being built in the Dublin office. This role will involve working on various new features and capabilities alongside the hardware team. In addition to this, there is a long term project to update the company's security infrastructure.


Be dedicated and thorough in your approach, and prefer to code right the first time

Produce robust software that meets requirements, in a timely manner

Work in a team and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely

Use software development best practices such as design and code reviews, configuration management, unit testing, and automated regression tests to maximize software quality and maintainability

Contribute to all facets of projects, including planning/tracking, architecture, design, implementation, reviews, integration, specialty engineer/application engineer/customer support, documentation, and training others.

Strive to meet company objectives for Software Engineers

Experience, skills, and attributes

  • A comprehensive understanding of software development techniques and practices
  • Solid software engineering experience using C and C++
  • Solid experience with Python
  • Ability to work with and respond quickly to evolving requirements
  • Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists
  • A good understanding of revision control concepts and practices, ideally with Git
  • Some experience with embedded systems
  • Bachelor’s (or higher) Degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent


  • Experience with Bash scripting
  • Experience with Subversion software
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience using C#
  • Experience using SQL
  • Experience developing effective Software Architectures
