The first term of the 2015/16 school calendar was a great success for The Ada Lovelace Initiative. With the help of technology role models nationwide, The Ada Lovelace Initiative reached over 2000 pupils in the first round of school visits! This term, the role models of the Ada Lovelace Initiative have been busy visiting schools nationwide for our second round of school visits which will take place up until the summer holidays.

This week, the role models of The Ada Lovelace Initiative are temporarily off duty as pupils across Ireland are currently enjoying their midterm break. However, there are role models still busy preparing for the pupils’ return next week. We’ll be kicking off the visits right after the weekend again, with two special talks taking place in Dublin secondary schools.

Upcoming A.L.I. Visits

First up to give her talk after the midterm break is Sinead Mc Cluskey, who is the Director of Commercial Innovation at PEI Surgical. Sinead will be returning to her old school – St. Dominic’s College in Cabra, Dublin 7. She will be speaking to the current Transition Year pupils about her career since she was a pupil at St.Dominic’s College & her work now as a Director of Commercial Innovation.

Following Sinead’s visit next week, A.L.I. role model Louise Bernstein will be returning to her former school too! Louise Bernstein is a Senior Product Manager at The TAS Group & she will be visiting the Transition Year pupils of Rathdown School in Glenageary to share her career story since she attended Rathdown herself. Best of luck to both Louise Bernstein & Sinead Mc Cluskey from the Verify Recruitment team!
