QA Manager

Our client is seeking a manager/tech lead for their QA team specializing in test automation to contribute to the success of their Dublin HQ IT team

Description of the Role:

• Manage and provide technical guidance to the QA team
• Design and develop automated test frameworks
• Select tools to be used for validation and analysis of product features
• Contribute to define the overall development process and methodology
• Liaise with peers from the development, business and document test specifications
• Continuously seek improvement of the quality and of the testing thoroughness
• Get involved technically, help the team with debugging failures, identify design flaws, and suggest solutions.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in people management
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of testing environments
• The successful candidate should be self-motivated and self-directed and able to lead and motivate other stakeholders on a project.
• Ability to communicate effectively to strive quality improvements
• The ideal candidate would be innovative and have great problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in scripting languages is required
• Experience with White Box testing in a Web environment.
• Experience in using and developing Selenium tests
• Experience with PHP, Java and/or Perl is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required
