Technical Design Consultant (Avaya Voice)

Technology innovation is at the core of our client’s company, and they’re at the forefront of bringing next generation networks, services and skills to Ireland.

Responsibilities


This Technical Design Authority position requires an exceptional ability to translate customer needs into viable and convincing solutions, often in intensely competitive environments. The TDA is increasingly mastering a confident balance between deep technical expertise across multiple products and strong interpersonal selling and consultative skills. The TDA is able to design, demonstrate, present and integrate Avaya's product and service capabilities with the customer's needs, overcoming objections and competitive threats.

Due to technical depth and experience with a customer's IT infrastructure and the capabilities and constraints of Avaya's products, the TDA is able to design solutions that result in high customer satisfaction with minimal post-sales support issues.

The role holder meets business objectives, solves business problems and furthers business success by applying industry, applications and technical knowledge through the definition of high level solutions. He/she will also have considerable bid strategy development and document writing skills and experience.

Essential Experience


  • Engineering/science degree.
  • 10+ years professional experience with 3 years senior level experience in Avaya Unified Communications and Call Centres
  • Knowledge of Nortel or Cisco data or voice solutions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Configurator tools; Enterprise Configurator and ASD Configurator is preferred
  • Expert understanding of SIP, H.323 and Legacy telephony infrastructure.
  • Requires experience and understanding of the following hardware platforms Avaya, Cisco, Acme Packet and 3rd party telephony products.
  • Experience with telephony consolidation and centralization
  • Experience in the following: Avaya call center technology, Avaya PBX (Private Branch Exchange) systems, Avaya ACD (Automatic Call Distributor) systems, Avaya Session Manager, Avaya Voice Portal, AES (Application Enablement Services), Aura Voice Mail, Avaya Dialers.
  • Interested candidates must have an in depth understanding of the Avaya Aura™ product portfolio to include Communication Manager, Session Manager, Unified Communications, Voice Over IP and Call Centers.
  • An understanding of Avaya Unified Communication portfolio to include the Avaya One-X family of products; an understanding of Avaya Unified Messaging and Collaboration portfolio to include Modular Messaging, Message Networking, and Meeting Exchange; an understanding of Avaya Call Center portfolio to include Voice Portal, IQ, and CMS.
