Test Analyst

Our prestigious Client based in Dublin 2  has exciting Test Analyst Roles available using latest technology.

Job Responsibilities

• Production of test specifications in accordance with a structured testing total life cycle methodology.
• Verifying the quality of the requirements, including testability, requirement definition and execution of test specifications within agreed timescales and standards.
• Input into and review of requirements specifications to ensure completeness.
• Accurate recording of test activities and tracking of defects.
• Analysis of actual results arising from test execution.
• Enhance the effectiveness of the testing total lifecycle process through identification of process improvements.
• Maintenance & execution of Regression Test Packs.
• Test new and existing business processes, including switches, part surrenders, full surrenders, regular withdrawals, death claims etc.
• Build on knowledge of the business including products and processes to enable full understanding of the business to successfully carry out testing.

Required Skills

• Test qualification is highly desirable
• Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry (desirable)
• Ability to generate ideas to improve team performance.
• Understands testing processes and methodology.
• Proficient in the business area of application under test:
• Web
• Documentation
• Policy Administration System
• Fund Administration System
• Workflow
• Proficient in testing techniques, understands various testing phases
• SQL (desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English.

Required Experience

• Experience of working in the financial services industry (desirable) in a structured test environment (essential)
• Experience must include reviewing test requirements and scripts, executing test scripts, defect tracking/closing, and test planning using guidelines and structured methodologies. (essential) and use of Defect Tracking Systems (desirable).
