Our Client is an Irish limited company based in Dublin. The business provides a range of outsourced services to corporate treasuries, financial institutions, finance companies, special purpose vehicles and structured finance transactions. Principal markets include North America, Canada, Ireland and Europe. They are currently looking for an Applications Analyst to join their experienced team.

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

·         Gathering and documenting business requirements through Workshops, User interviews, Process mapping and other appropriate techniques to design solutions to effectively meet business requirements

·         Translation of business/user requirements to precise detailed functional and/or technical specifications for development.

·         Negotiating with users to identify efficient solutions to user requirements

·         Providing 2nd level support to business users on issues related to T24 and other applications. Investigating issues and providing solutions to users.

·         Design and execute system tests to a high standard to identify issues before changes are released to UAT

·         Co-ordinating and managing small scale changes across multiple teams

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelors Degree in a Business/ IT discipline (preferably business related)

·         Understanding of basic accounting concepts and accounting for treasury/banking products

·         Understanding of Financial / Management Accounting function within Financial Institutions

·         Understanding of Treasury / Banking products such as FX, MM, Repo, Securities, Interest Rate Swaps from a Back , Middle or Front Office perspective

·         Knowledge of life cycle of treasury /banking products such as above

·         Previous experience of any of the following business applications would be a distinct advantage - T24,FinCAD, MS Dynamics NAV ( or other core banking / treasury application)

·         Good communications skills with an ability to interact with customers at all levels.

·         Creative, analytical, investigative, time management and problem solving skills

·         Willingness to travel should the need arise ( mainly Europe)
