PROJECT MANAGER – PROFESSIONAL SERVICES


ROLE SUMMARY


Our client is a leading edge Telecom technology company. They are seeking superior Project Managers to take responsibility for the managing the design and deployment of customer solutions throughout the world.


The role of the Project Manager within Services is to take responsibility for the entire development cycle, from customer requirements to delivery of Services projects. The Project Manager must have the ability to manage a number of projects concurrently and to exemplary standards, have a very clear delivery focus and be adept at managing change. They must have a commercial awareness; manage delivery to customers and have the energy to play a leading role in new business initiatives.


This is a hands-on role that covers all areas of project management including managing a team of Software Developers, co-ordinating the deliveries and integration of deliverables from different teams, controlling the quality of the solution, interfacing with the customer, be involved in post-deployment trouble shooting and management of customer expectations if issues arise.


Willingness and flexibility to travel – Average of 20% and up to 40%


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience and 7 to 10 years industry experience some of which must be in a Team Lead or Project Management role.

  • Prior experience as a software engineer or deployment engineer is preferable.

  • Project development lifecycle.

  • Design and development methodologies.

  • Exposure to Telecom Services and Billing.

  • Previous development experience.

  • Understanding of Unix Operating System principals.
