Volunteer with Verify
If you are an experienced professional and happen to be between jobs, have you ever thought about offering your skills as a volunteer? You'll be surprised how many voluntary and charity organisations need access to expert skills. Verify Recruitment will be working with national and local groups to identify their needs and we will be posting those requirements into our community.
People need to keep their skills and their mind fresh during a period of unemployment, which can often be a difficult and emotional period for all involved. At Verify Recruitment, we always advise people to volunteer their skills to charities and voluntary organisations to keep professionally busy. We strongly believe that this helps with candidates' self-esteem, maintains their confidence and gives them a sense of having contributed to their community. Crucially, it also provides an answer to that awkward question in an interview: "What have you been doing since your last role?"
What is Volunteer with Verify?
With this initiative, Verify Recruitment acts as a broker between
- Voluntary organisations who require access to highly-skilled professionals but cannot afford to engage with them traditionally and
- our community of skilled and experienced professionals who want to provide that help.
In this way, Volunteer with Verify provides a mechanism to help candidates "keep busy" while providing "valuable resources" at no cost to the charitable organisation.

HR Specialists who can perform 2 day HR consultancy to a number of The Wheel's member charities, reviewing the HR practices and recommendating improvements
A Marketing Specialist who can write a 'Marketing Guide for Charities' that provides insight, advice and practical steps for charities to help them in their own marketing efforts.
