Final Term

The past term was another great success for The Ada Lovelace Initiative. We would like to thank all our role models who shared their stories before the Easter break and also our new role models who are preparing to share their stories in the coming weeks.

With the Easter holidays over and secondary schools across the country settling into the final term of the school year – The Ada Lovelace Initiative is back in action and role models will be visiting pupils until the end of the 2015/16 school year in June.

Back To School for Citi Women In Technology

Citi_Logo_VerifyIn 2015 Citi’s Irish base (located in IFSC, Dublin) launched a dedicated Women In Technology Group to address the issue of gender balance in the company’s fin-tech divisions. In 2016 – Citi’s WIT Group teamed up with The Ada Lovelace Initiative to connect the female technologists of Citi with secondary school pupils across the country.

A.L.I. and Citi have been working together this term on special ‘Back To School’ visits which involves the Citi role models returning to their old schools across the country to share their stories. We would like to thank the role models of Citi for their enthusiasm and support to take part in this special series of visits for A.L.I.

Today marks the official launch of the A.L.I. & Citi WIT visits with Sarah Loughran, Solutions Analyst at Citi returning to Loreto School in Navan to share her story with the pupils of her former school. As it happens, Sarah played an important role in the school IT department as a pupil, which the current pupils will learn about today.
